Bargersville, Indiana is nicely situated at the juncture of State Road 144 and Highway 135, which leads directly north into the big city of Indianapolis. Interestingly, State Road 144 is also known as the "Old Plank Road," even today.
Boasting a population of 2,120 during the 2000 census, Bargersville is one of the many small towns that dot the countryside around the Indiana state capital of Indy. It lies in Johnson County, and has a total land area of only 1.1 square miles. Most who live around the area go there solely to visit the Bargersville Flea Market, which is one of the main Bargersville things to do.
