Welcome to Indianapolis

Indy has so much more to offer than great food and sports. Any visit to the Circle City wouldn't be complete until you've seen the arts, up close and in person, on display. By going to any number of art galleries or Indianapolis art museums, you can view thousands of pieces from Indianapolis local artists and abroad. Music, theatre, and dance all complement our thriving art community in Indianapolis. From the great Indiana Repertory Theatre in downtown Indy, to the historic Murat Theatre, Indianapolis is host to many Broadway plays and shows. Indianapolis also offers education in the arts. You can take separate art classes in Indianapolis, or even enroll in the renown Herron School of Art, or one of the many great colleges that offer full-out art courses. Indianapolis art is just one of the many local activities available to anyone.

Welcome to Indianapolis

The Indianapolis Cultural Districts are the spice of the city, balancing the modern and the classic. The six official Indianapolis cultural districts are: Mass Ave, Indiana Avenue, Fountain Square, Canal and White River State Park, Broad Ripple Village and the Wholesale District. Each one delivers something different, and new. We get a sense of history from some, while others take us into the future of this great city.
