Lebanon, Indiana is located approximately 28 miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis, and nearly 45,000 people call the small town home. Also known as The Friendly City, the town has served as the Boone County seat since 1832.

Perhaps the most popular historical sites in Lebanon include the Boone County Historical Society and the Boone County Courthouse. The society is housed in the famous Cragun Home, which was built in 1893. Genealogical records and research are available, as well as tours of the era-specific architectural aspects of the house.
